Top 20 Harry Potter Characters | Ronald Weasley - (played by Rupert Grint) I used to dislike Ron. I don’t even know why, but re-reading the series really made me love him. He is the person that kept the Golden Trio together all those years. When he’s gone in Deathly Hallows, Hermione and Harry become sort of lifeless, shells of what they used to be. Without Ron, and the hunt for horcrux looming over them, I think they’d have fallen apart. He provides the greatest comic relief, but he’s a deep character too. His love for Hermione throughout the series is amazing and so touching and his love and care for his family is beautiful. Rupert Grint is amazing in the role, and severely underrated.
