David Yates has been busy in recent years, making his mark on the final throes of the Harry Potter film franchise. So after taking on one of the biggest gigs in showbiz, it’s perhaps no surprise to see the director take an altogether different path albeit one that, if reports are to be believed, will see him reunite with a familiar face.

Those reports suggest that Yates is set to team up with fellow Potter alumni Emma Watson for an adaption of Emma Forrest’s Your Voice in My Head. The story, which has been reworked for the silver screen by the author herself, is a tragic tale about a young woman who attempts to take her own life, but is saved by a New York-based psychiatrist who has terminal cancer. It would be a big break for Watson, who’s remained relatively off the radar since the boy wizard’s final outing. If the project does go ahead Watson looks set to be in good company as the rumour mill suggests studio bosses are seeking out Tom Hanks and George Clooney as potential candidates to star opposite Miss Watson.
